A Harare businessman considered a “mbinga” in social media circles, Kudzai Keita, has been killed in an accident this morning.
The fatal crash occurred along Mutare Road at Rhodesville Police Station, just after the Glenara Road intersection.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has yet to confirm the details of the accident. However, reports circulating online suggest Keita was also with his mother and wife in the maroon BMW vehicle.
Crime Watch reported that the mbinga’s mother also died in the crash. Keita’s wife, Lonlisha Mufari, who is also a popular Zimbabwe TikTok personality, is currently in critical condition and battling for her life in the hospital.
Pictures of the accident making rounds online show the maroon vehicle terribly crumpled beyond repair. Mutare Road was congested, and vehicles manoeuvred slowly as drivers passed the scene. A police officer wearing gloves was assisting in moving the dead bodies from the accident wreckage.
